Brett had his surgery on Tuesday and is hobbling around the house soaking up the sympathy. He is getting frustrated with the lack of mobility, and cannot even drive himself due to the fact he is in a straight-leg brace until at least this coming Friday. The surgery went well .... his knee proved to have a few issues that we were unaware of. In the end he had his miniscus(?) repaired, the extra peices of his patella removed and the tendon reattached, and the backside of his kneecap smoothed out. We think he'll live, but it has been an altogether unpleasant experience.

I finished up my first semester this week and am looking forward to almost a month of commute-free weekends. Grades have yet to post. I am excited to read only for pleasure for the next month!!
